Welcome to 2014!

It has been a busy and exciting start to the New Year at Papulankutja Arts.

Two students from the University of Western Australia have had a great time visiting the Arts Centre, helping the ladies and archiving the artworks. Claire and Chantelle were taken out rabbit hunting with the ladies, and were shown how to build a shelter on a very hot day. We cooked kangaroo tails, and caught two rabbits on the trip. I drove the girls out to the sand dunes to see the sunset overlooking the beautiful Blackstone Ranges.

We are also excited about plans to renovate and improve our current gallery space to showcase the art work being produced.

There will be some artworks from Papulankutja at the Emerging Artists exhibition from the 15th of March at the Tunbridge Gallery in Subiaco, Perth (more information: tunbridgegallery.com.au).

Tandanya will have some art for sale at the WOMADelaide Festival Markets from the 7th to the 10th of March (more information: http://www.womadelaide.com.au/ or tandanya.com.au).
